I have almost decided on the Panasonic, when I found this BenQ. Both have all the connections I need and both have 16:9 screen. The BenQ is switchable 4:3, I do not know if the 300u is or not.

ANyways, the Panny is LCD, the BenQ DLP.

Which is better? What speed color wheel does this BenQ have? I don't want the Infocus because of the 2x color wheel and I know that one of my friends will most likely be disturbed by it. She will get headaches and probably sick to her stomach. Sometimes she has trouble with a regular computer monitor.

Anyways, I need help deciding. The Panny is much cheaper, but that doesn't matter to me. I'm wanting to spend about $2500.

Both have a short throw lens for smaller rooms wich is perfect for me. Here are the spec's of each projector.

PLEASE PLEASE help me decide! The BenQ has much higher resolution and contrast ratio and lumens.

BenQ PB 8220

Panasonic L300u

I don't know what I would do without you video people!!! Well actually, I probably do. I'd probably be getting a 65" rear projection TV.

i sell the panasonic and benq projos. i personally would pick the benq for the light output and picture quality. not saying that the panasonic is bad but the screendoor effect really bothers me. the benq is a lot brighter than the pan. but that also depends on the size of screen.

my 2 cents. (canadian currency so it really worth only 1 cent)

Thanks for the reply!

My screen size will most likely be about 70-80". Much larger than that, and it will be too big for my apartment!

Am I correct in thinking that the DLP will have better blacks than the LCD?
