I am using a 58x104 HDTV format screen. When I use the test pattern, the pattern fills the screen exactly. But when I switch to a HD channel on dish, I get black bars on the sides(about 1.5 inches wide on each side).
I am feeding it a 720P signal through the progressive component input and the projector is set to anamorphic mode.
Also, if I set the projector to pass through mode, I get a sideways squished picture in the middle of the screen.
Similarly, when use my bravo d1 player, if I play an anamorphic disc, I get black bars on the side(about 1 inch wide).
The player is set to output 720p and the projector is set to wide mode. Passthrough mode again gives a horizontally squished picture.
I would appreciate any help in resolving these issues.
