Hi,

I'm interested to know whether anybody can confirm whether the PE8700 can sync to 1280x720 from a PC ie. achieve 1:1 pixel mapping either via DVI or analog VGA input.

Thanks,

Les

I just got mine two days ago.

It works on DVD-I using [email protected] after I set it up with PowerStrip using the standard HDTV timing. Not surprising since the Bravo D1 also works at this resolution. I'd guess it would work with RGBHV too, but the PC's too far from the PJ right now to try it.

It will not work with 1280x768, and scaling isn't great for XGA either.

I am seeing some red sparkles though- not sure what that's about. More stuff to play with...

I hadn't noticed I was in anamorphic mode initially but you're right.

None the less I'm sure it's working.

Throw up a display with text, and look at the letters close up. They're wrong in through mode and right in anamorphic. I agree it seems backward but that's what I see.

I've gone ahead and tried the COMP-HD and RGB-HD modes. They have the same through mode issue and further there is overscan so you loose your border and no 1:1 mapping is possible :(.

So it looks like DVI is the interface to use.
