The color is maroon (78), leather plus (i.e. leather + vinyl).


The wood panels on the front of the arms fold out to become

cupholders.

One more view of the 093s

Nice! I really like the wood accents on the 093 chairs, but am unsure about the overall size of the chair. Could you possibly take a picture of someone sitting in the chairs and provide that persons height? I unfortunately do not have anyone remotely close to me with the Berkline HT seating on display. I have had a hard time deciding between the 093 and the 090 models. Also, is this the promotional leatherplus option? If so how is the overall quality, I am thinking about the same option in the black.

I believe the 093s are closer in dimension to the 088s than the 090s. See the information below

Because of the room in my theater, the 088 would fit better, but I am now considering the 093s instead. I think they look better and I like the hidden cupholder feature. Any idea on the price difference?

In terms of size the 093s are almost identical to the 088s. I believe that the only difference is that the arms are 0.75" wider.


Pricewise, the 093s are almost the same price as the 090s, I believe i.e. more than the equivalent 088s.


In my opinion, the quality is excellent. We bought from Ken at av-outlet and he gave us excellent service. There are another couple of recommended dealers often mentioned here. If you are refering to a promotion on the 090s then my 093s do not have the same leather group as the "promotional" leather. I cannot recall the group number we got, but we were advised that this particular group is very close to some of the grade 2s.


I'll see if I can get you the dimensions. For comparison, the tower speaker behind the chairs is exactly 47" high.

I am aware of all the dimensions, just have not been able to sit in them to compare. That is why I thought a pic of someone sitting in them would provide a good reference. I am only worried about head support with the 088s or 093s. The promo leaterplus option is grade 1.

I am located in Buckingham, IA and have sat in some 090s but it was a while ago. I do not know of a furniture store around my area that displays them. There are some that can order them, but I would like to see both models and compare if I had the chance. The size of the 093s sound good, but many have complained or commented on the head/neck support not being there for long movies. I would be able to fit 12 seats in my HT if I went with the 093s but only 10 if I go with 090s.

The head/neck support is not as good as the 090s, but it is a compromise. I am not sure how you could get the full 5.1 effect, let alone 7.1, with your ears half covered by a cushion. I guess there is a reason real theater seats don't have high backs..... Don't get me wrong... the 090s are very comfortable. I just think of them more as the traditional recliner.

What's the spec on the "back height" for the 93's . Is it the same 38" as the 88s or somewhere between that and the 41" of the 90's? And why aren't all those nifty pdf files of the brochures readily available on the Berkline site anyway? I can't even find the 93 on that site.

To all intents and purposes the 093 and 088 are identical, except that the 093 arm is 0.75" wider than the 088s. The dimensions are below. You can find the pdf sheet on the av-outlet website (the 093 is called the Apollo Cinema Style)

When I ordered mine there was no choice for the wood or finish. The wood looks very nice, it is close grained like mahogany.
