Which option is better? I need a three seats, model 090, in one row configuration. I can either have three individual seats with both arms or a two full arm edge and an armless middle seats. The price on each seat is the same regardless of the arm configuration. It's much more flexible to order an individual seat and re-arrange them as needed. Please tell me if it is doable to make this kind of conversion before I made an order. btw, where the recliner buttom is located at?

I'm not certain about your first question, as you seem to answer it yourself by saying that the 3 individual seat configuration is more flexible. Not sure what you meant by "if it is doable to make this kind of conversion". What are you converting?

Second question, if you are referring to motorized recliner button, it is located on the inside of the left arm on all the chairs I have seen. If you are referring to the manual recline button... I have no idea as I have never seen a manual recline in person.

Hope that helps,

Jeff

I should make myself clearer. If I have three regular seats, 6 arms total, and I want to reconfigure them in one continous row with the middle seat share the arm of its neighbor. It means I have to remove both arms off the middle seat. Is that possible?

The Manual Release Button (a round push-in button) is located to the right side of the seat just below the cushion, it is not attached to the arm as with the electric versions.

The NEW and IMPROVED electric control is a much smaller toggle type controller mounted to the arm (The old version was a actual hand held remote that was recessed into the arm...pitiful looking!)

Now, with an armless 090 the manual button is located as usual below the seat cushion....I can then only assume this is where the "new" electric switch is located.

With THREE seats you have several options:

1.) Three individual 090's...each a separate unit, two arms each.

2.) Couch type combination: One unit w/ Right Arm..One unit Armless...one unit w/ Left Arm.

3.) Love Seat Combo: One unit w/ L Arm...One with Right Arm and one more with either Left OR Right Arm to place along side the Love Seat.

4.) Love Seat Combo and Single Seat. Same as above..except the third seat has BOTH Arms and can be placed together with Love Seat..or apart.

I did #3 on my rear riser....and four 090's with single arm/wedges for the front row seating. The rear seating accommodates a couple who may want to "snuggle". Also, when alone....I can stretch out on the Love Seat and just listen to music.

I did not opt for #2...as there is no cup-holder for the middle person.

I hope that helps?

Also. No. The arms are not removeable. Only the backs can be detached for transport.

Hi hvn4179,

It's not too often I get to talk to a local Fort Worth AVS person...anyway, what you've been able to discover is the value of Acoustic Innovation seats. They are one of the few that actually allow you to completely reconfigure the setups after they are delivered. All of the arms/wedges are removable and reconfigurable. Being that I'm a dealer of Cinematech, Acoustic Innovations, Fortress and Berkline, I definitely feel that the AI's are the most versatile because of the removable arms...you can also order an extra arm or wedge later to add to the set up. I personally own a pair of AI Deco's and I also have a set of Cinematechs. Because I rearrange all the time the AI's reconfiguring design is very handy to me. I love the quality of Cinematech...they are built like a tank! The Berklines don't offer the modular setup (after the purchase) likely to keep the cost down...being that they're one of the cheapest options out there.

Let me know if you need more info.

thanks,
