I'm looking for a monitor to use with my PC and my Xbox 360. I don't want a 24" with 1920 x 1200 resolution as that is a 16:10 resolution and would either stretch a 1080p (1920 x 1080) or have black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. I've done some research and found the BenQ E2400HD and the Dell S2409W. Both of these are fairly new. I was wondering if there were any other 16:9 24" monitors and which one displays the best picture? Right now this is a niche market but I think next year most displays will be 16:9 as more 1080p content is available and becomes the standard. I hope some other people on this forum have experience with some good 16:9 monitors. Thanks!

I'd like to know what kind of luck people have had using PC monitors as LCD tvs. Considering many are 16:10 rather than 16:9 and usually have limited screen controls, color adjustments ect...

The only thing that really works right on PC monitors are devices that have full control over the output resolution, like a PS3, and XBOX 360


PC monitors have no processing aka no fine tuning the picture, they have no tuners, and no video scalers. Leave the PC monitor for PC use. Buy a proper HDTV.
