I need a new small High-definition LCD-TV for use in a kitchen, and a 19-20" set is the only size that will fit in a corner on the counter under the upper cabinets. It will be only used for off-the-air ATSC reception from a remote antenna, so other inputs won't be used. Small size, high brightness with a good picture, and remote are the key factors. Cost (within reason) is not a factor.

It seems that all of the comprehensive LCD panel reviews are for much larger sets. I'm leaning towards a Samsung LN19A650, but not sure if the good reviews the large 650 series models are getting are applicable to the much smaller 19" model.

You really can't go wrong with the Samsung. Do you own or plan to buy other Series 6 Samsung's? If not might I suggest going for the LN19A330 or LN19A450 and save a few bucks. At this size they are all pretty much the same specs and likely use the same panels. The only real difference is the bezel style matching other sets in the Series. I know you say cost is not a factor but With a price difference of over $100 between the different series it might be wise to save few bucks anyway. Just a suggestion but if not you can't go wrong with the LN19A650.
