If you can afford the 8g pio 1080p Kuro then I would have to say get that TV. If not the next best thing would be a sonyXBR5 hands down. IMO

Pioneer 5010

Pioneer 5080

Samsung 5271

Sony XBR4/5 in no particular order are all fantastic sets...personally I'd take panasonic off the list if Pio is an option.

I'd agree that the Pioneer 5010 would be at the top of my list. However, I don't believe CC actually sells Pioneer TVs (at least in my area) ...

Your right CC don't sell Pioneers and I ment to put pioneer 5080 on first post not 5010(to expensive). I really want the 5080 but can't get over the 720p thing. I'm really leaning towards the Panasonic TH-50PZ750 what do you guys think about this TV, because I hear upper end Plasmas are better than LCD's.

Check out the Feb. '08 issue of Home Theater magazine (sorry, not yet posted to their website). They did a "face-off" of seven TVs (DLP, LCoS, LCD, and plasma). All were 1080p sets except for the Pioneer 5080 (720p). The consensus of their review panel was that, as long as you're not sitting close enough to see pixels, the Pioneer was the winner (due to black levels and PQ) with the Panasonic TH-50PZ750 coming in second. The article raises pros/cons of the various technologies and 1080p vs. 720p, so is worth a read for that aspect even if you don't agree with their ratings.
