Guys, I am getting a great deal on some used Vandersteen 2ce from the early 90's however I have an extremely under powered reciever at the moment that could not do the vandys justice. What do you recommend for best separates for the money on a budget?

Thanks!

Also look at some decent Int. Amps... By NAD/Musical Fidelity/Music Hall/Krell etc.. all depends on how much you want to spend.

You still didn't tell us what your budget is ???????????

Regardless, you will get dozens of answers, so here's one to ponder.......

a nice used Aragon 4004 (pre-Klipsch era) 200 watts, stable with good current delivering capability, next feed it with a nice tube pre-amp ....ARC, CJ,Cary, BAT........ put into your system, apply music, pour beverage of choice, sit back and enjoy !!

Probably less than $600 total, however I am a huge fan of finding those jewels in the rough that provide way more quality than their asking price. Companies like Vandersteen and salk come to mind for speakers, I am just trying to find the same type of performance/price ratio from an amp. Maybe I need to stray from typical audiophile brands to find it as you do pay a lot for the name on some of those.

Check out: http://www.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls....Integrated-Amp

A nice integrated amp may be just what you are looking for. This is an outstanding NAD integrated amp (C372) that Stereophile reviewed very favorably. It will make those Vandy's sing!

Oh, and good luck with the speakers hope they work as good for you as they did for me!!!!!
