From what I read it is almost exactly like the MX-350, which I have used.


It worked well for me, though this was years ago. Programming is very fiddly, since the only way to do it is through button combos on the remote. Hope you have patience. Though once you get it setup the way you want it does work like a charm.


One thing I learned, with the mx-350.... it was almost easier to learn all the ir codes you wanted and custom build vs picking random vendor pre-setups where you had to find which buttons didn't work, get rid of useless buttons etc.

Another option is a Next Generation in your cable remote or AVR remote or other cheap universal.

I haven't found good and cheaper RF universal remote, you know some ?

My point is you don't need an RF remote. Next Gen works with any remote that uses a AA or AAA batteries. I use the RCA RCRP05BR. It is a very good remote and very cheap.
