Hi there,

I work for a company that needs to record lots of mock job interviews. We are looking for cheap cameras (£100 is the absolute maximum) with the longest battery life. 2 hours is the minimum but ideally around 2.5/3 would be great.

We do not care about the quality of the footage it is just important that the cameras can be relied upon for film for as long as possible without running out of batteries.

I'd appreciate any tips anyone can give me.

Thanks

Sarah,

Welcome to the forum.

You may not find exactly what you describe. Your choice may have to be extra batteries with an external charger.

Small cameras now take excellent videos. If your company has any cameras at all, be sure to check their video capability.

In your low price range, consider looking at cameras like this one:

I don't know model numbers very well outside the US, but I think you can get extra batteries like this:

And, it appears this charger will do:

Good luck with your project!

Hi Sarah - my friend Bill S. makes an excellent suggestion.

You may also want to consider plugging the camera directly into the mains, if there is an outlet in the interview room.

You can get a refurbished Panasonic Lumix TZ8 camera for £79.59pp from Amazon UK .

With a £14.97pp AC Mains adapter and DCC5 battery coupler , you can plug the camera straight into the mains - no more worries about running out of batteries.

I have one of these couplers for my Panasonic cameras, and it works a treat.

Cheers,
