hey guys

I have a samsung plasma 550, a samsung HT-as720, a rogers HD box and a dvd player.

Right now, i have connected the DVD to my tv using component, and rca cables to the receiver for audio.

The HD box is connected to the tv with hdmi cables and audio is from tv only..

i want to buy a blu ray, perhaps a ps3

Anyone can suggest the best way to connect all these devices?

I have 2 hdmi cables right now at home..do i need to buy more?

You can get one of these to add HDMI connections, http://www.oppodigital.com/hm31/

I have two of the Oppo HM31s, and they work great. Should give you all of the connections you will need, 4 total with your receiver and what ever you have on your LCD.

And search ebay and amazon for HDMI cables. I paid

Well, if you get the BluRay/PS3, that would replace the DVD player. According to the specs of your receiver, you have 2 HDMI inputs to work with, so plug the BluRay into one and the HD Box into the other, then run HDMI from the receiver to the TV.

Correct!

The PS3 will play DVD's, so you can get rid of your DVD player!
