Is the Mits Diamond Series XX909 the best on the market today?

Looking to buy one in the near future in the 65" (73") range and want to hear owners thoughts and regrets..

How's the Pioneer Elite 720hd?

thanks!

Sonny,

Will you be getting the set ISF calibrated?

How much light is present in your room?

What are the sources you'll be feeding to your RPTV?

The answer to this question will be totally up to the personal opinion of the individual. For a high-end set both the Pioneer Elites and Mits Diamonds are very nice. I have been very impressed with Mits when well calibrated. They do less well out of the box than the Elites it seems, and also don't have as good of a built-in line doubler as the Elite or Pioneer lines. If you are planning on watching primarily HD content, including progressive DVDs then this probably doesn't matter. My impression is also that the Mits can be had for better price breaks than the Elites, which seem to hang just a little below their MSRP until new models come out.

There is also the other Mits features:

- Integrated tuners

- firewire/5C support

- for non-integrated sets, the Mits "promise", but I don't know if it's been upgraded to cover HDMI (DVI/HDCP) yet.
