check out bfads.net for what's available on Black Friday. But I didn't notice any deals on 3d bluray players.

Quite a few dealers offering the Sony BDP-S470 for $119. If you need wifi support, instead of wired ethernet, then consider the BDP-S570 instead (now selling for under $160 by several dealers).

Best Buy has a 370 and 460 around there I think, that require the 3D firmware...

If you sign up for Disney rewards they have the Sony s470 for 60 + s&h. You have to buy 5 of 20 bluray, but if you have kids you will anyway.

I don't believe any Sony standalone Blu-ray player below or before the S470 is 3D ready or capable of being upgraded to 3D ready via a firmware update.

I bought a Panasonic DMP-BDT100 for about $145 a few days before turkey day. It has the added advantage of being the only sub $200 player (I'm about just price points here) that can output as checkerboard for DLP owners. That means no new receiver purchase. Appears it can also do SbS..

The best deal is the don't s570 at best buy this week for 139$ or the s770 for 249$
