I just got the denon 2910 for my toshiba 52hm84. The player was 649.99 which is above your cost but you may want to check it out. It's getting good reviews here.

Best DVD player for Toshiba 46HM84 DLP
Got a 46" Toshiba DLP yesterday, didn't calibrate it yet (NO DVD PLAYER!). I have video essentials. Games are looking good, though very bright (turned contrast down, sharpness to zero).
Looking for the best DVD player for this thing, it has an HDMI. I Have a panasoni rp82 on our 57" Toshiba downstairs, and it's perfect.
Let me know of anything under $500, lower money I spend the better - been spending way too much latley adn stil need to buy a speaker package/receiver!
