Best FiOs Router?

Hi all -
I have internet service through Verizon FiOs. Currently I'm renting the router from Verizon - Quantum Gateway Router for $12 per month.

I'm interested in buying a router instead of renting this equipment. Also I find the service a little bit spotty and hitchy. Better than TWC but not as great as it should be. Not sure if that is the router's fault but just mentioning.

Any advice on best router for FiOs?

Hi,
I have FIOS and have been using a Netgear Nighthawk X6 R8000. It has worked well, but recently with the latest FW upgrade Netgear has removed a number of features. Mainly DLNA which is why I am now looking for another router. So far I have found that Asus and TPLink have DLNA media sharing.
