Best FiOs Router?

Hi all -
I have internet service through Verizon FiOs. Currently I'm renting the router from Verizon - Quantum Gateway Router for $12 per month.

I'm interested in buying a router instead of renting this equipment. Also I find the service a little bit spotty and hitchy. Better than TWC but not as great as it should be. Not sure if that is the router's fault but just mentioning.:confused:

Any advice on best router for FiOs?

Thanks!

Hi,
I have FIOS and have been using a Netgear Nighthawk X6 R8000. It has worked well, but recently with the latest FW upgrade Netgear has removed a number of features. Mainly DLNA which is why I am now looking for another router. So far I have found that Asus and TPLink have DLNA media sharing.
