If anyone lives in an area where antenna web says you need a large directional outdoor antenna, you may not need it. I live in slippery rock PA. 40 miles from the nearest signal and it is in the middle of no where. I tried all different types of antenna, powered and non. Finally I tried the Zenith Silver Sensor. It looks like it would have no chance at pickking up any signal at first glance out of the box, but the antenna is amazing. I recieve all my hd channels and this antenna is not even powered. I got it at best buy for 42 dollars but you can order it on line for 20. Give it a try and let me know if it helps you.

There is no such thing as an "HDTV" or "Digital" antenna. That is marketing jargon added to the name, to help sell an antenna. However, for ~25 bucks, the Silver Sensor is a good indoor OTA UHF antenna.

You are lucky that you can reliably get all your UHF stations at that distance.

did you only try indoor antennas, or did you try outdoor antennas as well?
