I have been looking into hdtv's for a while now and I really like DLP. The only problem is i don't think it's ready and i can't take everyone else having HDTV while i sit around and watch old TV.


Basically what i am looking for is a cheap HDTV with DVI over 50 inch rptv that will let me use the DVI and also not blow a big hole in my walet. This is going to be a temparary thing until DLP becomes more mature,

(I am guessing another couple of years)


I will be watching dvd rips and playing games through DVI from my PC

PLaying PS2

watch hdtv and sdtv.

I was in the same boat as you and ended up finding a 52" Samsung HCN529W for your exact limit at CC...A few weeks later, I realize that there is a reason why the set was so cheap. I have since traded the set for a Hitachi 51S500 and could not be happier. Spend the extra money (not much actually) and you'll be more than happy with the results...
