The silver sensor is pretty good but the old rs double bow tie is supposed to be the king of the hill if you dont care about how ugly it is.

The silver sensor is good in certain conditions. It's great for multipathed UHF, but the problem is in those situations you can usually only get one or two channels at a given position.

I live in a suburb 30 miles south of Chicago. With the silver sensor in my 2nd floor bedroom, I get zero reception. With an amplified indoor RCA VHF/UHF antenna for $39 from Wal-Mart, I get all channels except for CBS. I'll go with an amplified indoor antenna over a non-amplified one anyday.

For me this antenna is too good to be true. Had the terk hooked up to my Samsung HDTV tuner and had to keep moving in back and forth (i have it on the back of my couch) contstantly to get channels in. With this antenna, I got all four of my HD over the air channels just by moving it a quarter of inch at the most. WOW!

Have you tried tilting the SS/Zenith at all? Perhaps if you got the right angle, you might not even need to move it the 1/4 of an inch... Sometimes that works.

Yep, avsfsmores, tilting the SS either up or down just a bit may be all you need to do to lock in all the channels. Prop up the front or back with a small block of wood or foam to change the tilt slightly.

Also try moving (not repointing) the antenna. Just moving it to a different location a few inches away while pointed in the same direction can make a big difference, especially if you have multipath problems.
