My friend is looking for the best LCD or Plasma TV around $2500 to $3000, 37 or 42inch. I myself am getting a Panny 50PHD7UY in the next few weeks but this is out of his price range as well as the 42PHD7UY.

If your friend is a resolution nut, he may like the Syntax 37'' Syntax Olevia LCD coming out soon with a 1900x1080 resolution. Should be under $3000... the only quesiton remains what will the picture quality look like. We'll see soon, seems they'll be shipping in a few weeks.
