Is This the Best Motorized Home Theater Project Ever?

Among the items motorized in this home theater room are seats, a couch, a coffee table lift, projector, screen and acoustical panels. Check out the 90-second video to see the transformation of this living room into a dedicated home theater.

Recessed acoustical panels slide to cover round ceiling light pockets

Floor to ceiling wall acoustical panels slide to cover both windows

Surface panels slide open to reveal a Digital Projection Titan projector

Massive projector rotates, moves forward, panels slide to frame

Room width motorized 2:35 Screen drops down in recessed pocket

Lighted center coffee table drops down through the floor into a well

Giant Fortress U-shaped sectional sofa moves forward to cover well

Full second row of five reclining theater seating rises behind sofa

All the while, automated lighting control scenes are also activating.

VERY IMPRESSIVE!

Well watching that video sure made me feel inadequate about my installation capabilities! Wow!!!

I wonder how much that whole setup cost the home owner?!

that's impressive on a technical standpoint. like REALLY impressive. but I'm failing to think of a compelling reason to do this, and how it's not actually wasting space...? maybe i don't have enough money to understand, haha

I like the concept of having window and but then closing them up with acoustical panels. Although there is still clearly light leak from the rear window at the end of the video! All the money spent and you still have a light leak! WTF?

Anyone else reminded of the Jabba's Palace scene when the couch moved to cover the hole in the floor? Also, loved the end reveal of the back row of seats.
