There are so many models that my head is spinning! What is the consensus - which is the best non-3D Sony hdtv > 50"? (not looking at 3D for now). Any help will be greatly appreciated

The thing is, Their 3D models also happens to be their best 2D tv as well. Even if you aren't interested in 3D, those TV are great 2D sets.

Its quite simple:the TOPmodel has it all - Local Dimming LED ( Intell.Dyn.LED ), BE3 ,200Hz Pro,over 1.000.000:1 contrast ratio, 3D ready,OptiContrast panel


The cheapest model has CCFL, BE2, 100Hz,Standard contrast ratio,2D


All other models are price/quality wise in between the TOPmodel and the cheapest model.



Edge Lit LED is more expensive than CCFL this does not mean that its better!

I just order a sony nx800 52" for a very good deal, if you called and tell them you were given 15% off they would honor it. But is edge lite. Is edge lite really that bad?

Edge lite led is still brighter and more colorful than ccfl lcd right?

Dont know if i made the right choice but my tv will be here friday.

Most AVSers prefer CCFL over EdgeLit LED.
