I'm looking for suggestions for the best media player and interface controllable with a Harmony remote under Vista Ultimate edition. In order of importance to me... I want to be able to play my music library of WMA lossless files, play SD DVDs and Blu-ray disks both that are ripped onto my hard drive and directly from disk, access Napster, and view digital photos.

I already own AnyDVD HD. Also, my HTPC case came with Imon software which I have yet to install or explore. Beyond that, I am confused and overwhelmed by the options.

Thanks for any help!

Since you have Vista Ultimate, give the built-in Media Center a try. It will natively play your WMA Lossless, photos and SD DVDs. You'll then have to use either Arcsoft TMT or Cyberlink PowerDVD to play your Blu-ray. I pretty sure Harmony has a profile for the Media Center remote. Don't know about Napster.

Thanks heaphus. My Blu-ray drive came bundled with CyberLink BD Solutions. Any idea if/how this integrates with Vista Media Center? Also, do you know whether Vista can handle ripped DVDs? If so, does it matter whether I rip to ISO or VOB files? Thanks!
