I was wondering what the best price people have been able to negotiate pre-rebate for a Pioneer Elite PRO530HD? I know the rebate runs out at the end of the month so I need to start the haggling.


If you're in northern CA. I'd really appreciate any responses. PM me if the deal is too good to post. I think my only local option is Magnolia Hi-Fi. If anyone has contacts let me know. I'm itching to buy.

Ultimate Electronics and Showcase here in AZ have 10% sales. I tried getting them lower without any luck.

Any idea what the asking price is for their 530 models before the 10% off? I'm just looking for some reference numbers I can work with if I go in to Magnolia.

The price I recall seeing on the 530HD was $3499. I can't recall if this was before or after the $500 rebate offer. I am actually going to take a look at this set at ultimate tonight. Ultimate has zero product info. on their website, so you have to call or go into the store to get the prices.


I've also noticed from prior purchaces at Ultimate that they will work with you to a degree. You can make an offer on the TV....since a price match won't really be practical in this instance. I paid less than asking price on my last 2 TV's I bought through them....with no price match. They have whats called a "minimum store price" or something like that, but you can probably get it for less than that with a little haggling. Considering that Pioneer is offering this rebate, I have to assume these sets aren't selling very well. Ultimate might be "motivated" to move the inventory they have.


Just a note, the $500 rebate is NOT valid if you buy the 530HD online.
