I do relaize that this question must have been posted many

times over the past few months.

A friend of mine is looking for a projector. He doesn't want to spend more than 4000$ - 4500$.

Screenwidth will be about 2meters (seated 4-5m away).


His English isn't good, so he can't search on this forum for information.


What is the best HT-projector in this price range ?

Mostly DVD and some PC. Should be quiet/silent.


What suggestions do you have ?:

Infocus 340,350, NEC 150,155,540, Eiki, Sanyo PV30 ..........


Room is light controled.


Should he maybe even wait for the PIANO ?

Well, I believe Dell is still running their 20% off sale through August 1st. The have a Mits X390 for $5,381.95, take off 20% and you are at about $4300. That's probably your best deal if you hurry.
