Looking for receiver to drive speakers listed below. I will be listening to mostly (in order of importance) sports, Jazz, and movies. I have looked at a few receivers and the Denon AVR 4810CI and 3310CI are on the top of my list, but I am open to suggestions. Price range for receiver is $2500.00

1. Focal Chorus 826v (front speakers)

2. Martin Logan Grotto i (Sub)

3. Focal Chorus SR 800v (Rear Channel)

4. Focal CC 800v (Center channel, BUT considering replacing w/an in-wall Paradigm or something similar)

Thanks,

Michael

you might check in the focal thread--many have opinions on this very subject. People seem to like arcam and nad. opinions vary on denon/pioneer. you might also consider an integra 40.1 prepro and an emotiva amp in that price range.

I'm in the same boat you are. Finally have my 816v's broke in and my Pioneer is definitely not cutting it. I have the Denon's hooked up to 836's at work and they're a good match. If I were you, I would do the 3310ci and use the remainder of your budget and save up a little more for a separate. Maybe a Parasound 5125 or something similar. That's the path I plan on taking. Good luck!

I own 836's and I would have to say Arcam and if you can swing it the 500 or 600. They really make the 800 series sing. I own a Denon 3805 and it makes then sing not so much. This is not even close. The 350 is clearly better on them than a Denon or a 280 if you pocket book is more limited.
