I've been reading alot about the Panny THX settings that are hit or miss for movie watching. But, when I get mine, it will be for sports mostly (Sunday Ticket, Hockey, Baseball), movies, and broadcast TV (in that order).

If you have a Panasonic, what settings are best for my viewing habits? I'm replacing a 53 inch 4:3, so I'm gravitating towards the 58 or 65 inch. And, it's in my basement, so lighting is not an issue.

Thx.

I gather that you'll be getting the V10 model, and some owners have posted their settings in the V10 thread. There are no "best settings" because different people have different preferences and different environments so their settings won't necessarily look good to you in your environment. I tried other people's G10 settings i found in the G10 thread on my own G10 and while some looked ok, none of them looked nearly as good as the settings i came up with on my own so i just adjusted mine till it looks good to me. For instance, to myself and many others the THX mode looks way too dim for DVD movies, while lots of other people love it. I absolutely hate it. Different strokes for different folks

Personally, i'm using Custom mode on my G10 (PQ is about the same as a V10) for HD sports and other programming with the Contrast set at a lofty +80 and it looks great.
