best sub placement

i hope someone can help me out on best sub placement...

room dimensions: 12w x 14l x 9h

sub is a hsu vtf-2 mk3, located in one corner. main seating is located pretty much in the center of the room.

there are other pieces of furniture in the room, but just indicated where the sub and sofa is.

i feel like i cant hear the most out of my sub from the current seating position, since when i am in the full back of the room, i hear great bass (detail and clarity). when im sitting on the sofa, it doesnt sound as defined.

do you think moving the sub closer to the sofa (along the wall) will increase bass quality in the sofa area?

Do a sub crawl and find a couple or so locations that offer the best overall output at the main listening position, then try out the sub in each of those positions and go with the one that sounds best to you / works best for you.
