I was set on the Panny S1 but after reading about the black level issues I'm not so sure anymore. The Sammy 63 inch looks good but there has been quite a bit of bad buzz regarding that model also. Is there a panel in those price ranges that doesn't have glaring issue? I like the look of the plasmas over the lcds, but I could be swayed as I would like to use it for gaming also. Viewing angle is important to me, but LCD has gotten a lot better recently. Is there something out there now, or do I have to wait till this summer for the right one. Thanks!!

So its like I thought. There is no clear cut best 65 inch tv out there right now.

I guess I'll wait till this summer. When the Vizio 72 inch comes out at $3500 I think it will be a game changer. Prices on other sets of similar size should come down a bit to compete. Hoping by then there will be a 65 incher without any major issues or compromises.

Reading through this forum I have seen several posts by opwners of both sets touting how great their TV looks. If you constantly look for issues you'll likely find one with every set but for the most part they will exhibit a quality experience.
