My house is now near complete of construction, I have had some dirt and dust floating around the house. What or how is the best way to clean the Studiotek screen, I do know I have to be extremely carefull.

First, blow the dust off the surface, using something like a vaccumm running in reverse, or a air pressure hose. Not that much air pressure should be required. Then get a small, soft brush with soft, but fine bristles. Softly brush the surface with this brush, gently massauging the suface with the bristles. Not much pressur here. You might want to wipe the surface, in conjunction with the use of the air hose, to blow the surface clean. then massauge the surfac, as I said, very gently. The trick is to pull as much material off of the surface of the screen without rubbing -any- of it into the screen's surface.

So, air, then air and wiping, then air and massauge. This should do the trick.

What about a new (ie never used) woman's large powder brush? The kind that looks like a shaving brush, except with very soft silk or whatever bristles. I use one of these to dust off oil paintings, as this city is very polluted and there's no way to avoid quite a bit of dust build-up. Glad it isn't one of Cineramax's TORUS (tm) vacuum screens with a Stewart 2.8 or KBK's super Screengoo that is getting dirty - just a painted wall for the time being (which indeed has suffered from the environmental issue).

Nice, Art - but look at it this way, finally our ladies can participate in our hobby, brushing up as they go along. ;)

In all seriousness, I actually did use one on my painted wall (110" wide screen). Did improve gain, that had been reduced by dust coat. On a stepladder, it took me about 5 minutes - though with a more finished screen product I would have taken more like 10'.

Cheers,
