I have a pair of Audioengine A5 speakers that I am very pleased with. Problem is that they only have RCA inputs. I would like to attach the following items using a preamp (?) of some sort:

The only thing I have been able to find that costs around $200 and will suit my needs is this:

Does this sound like a good solution or would you recommend something else? I don't want a bulky receiver. I am trying to keep audio equipment as inconspicuous as possible.

Thanks, Dan

Looks like a good option to me.

Only thing missing that would be nice is remote controlled volume and input switching.

I've considered the Grant Fidelity Tube DAC-09 and well suited for your needs. From a little research, it seems to be a very good piece of equipment with excellent customer service and technical support.

The Maverick Audio TubeMagic D1 seems to be nearly the same as the GF Tube DAC-09 but, as mentioned, better customer support with the GF.
