My Pioneer HTiB has proprietary connections on the end on the speaker wire. I need to extend the surround sound speaker wires. What the best way to do this?

How handy are you with a soldering gun?

Cut the wire, solder in some wire in between and heatshrink it.


Ghetto way, twist the wires together and use one of these twist on connectors. Walmart or Home Depot will have them. Or use electrical or duct tape.

Agreed, that is the best way, but I would just use Butt splices. Very cheap, very easy. Even easier are wire nuts, as sparkysko suggested.
