I'm looking for the best way to move multi-channel audio from the PC to the Mac. I'd like to use the PC as a front-end for music and movies and transfer the audio stream from the PC to a Mac for processing using Logic Pro (delay, room correction, EQ). I've thought about using a Lynx AES-16 in each box and then using the extra outs on the card in the Mac box to stream to an Aurora DAC. This would probably be ideal, but very expensive. I have a Lynx Two-B and appreciate the volume control and bass management features in recent PC drivers. I also like the card's onboard DACs... Ideally, there's a cheap way to move a bit perfect audio stream from the PC to the Mac digitally (avoiding the D/A and A/D conversions), maintain bass management and remote volume control on the PC and be able to use the DACs on the Lynx Two-B in the Mac to run directly to my amps?

Is firewire possible? What about a card with multiple SP/DIFs that works on Mac and PC?

Thanks for your replies.
