I'd like to see a better keyword search for theme channels. I'm not asking for full unix regular expressions, but at least something like most of us are used to from internet search engines or Ebay:

examples

"clint eastwood" western

( demonstrating phrases and ANDing of keywords)


friends "the one with"

( ditto)


fonda -jane

(Which would record Henry, Peter, or Bridget but not Jane)


fonda (henry, peter, bridget) -jane

( which is more specific )

I've been hoping that the new myreplaytv.com web interface will ultimately allow us to create our own "zones" - meaning themes with much more flexibilty of search options and inclusion than is possible with the current limited RTV remote control UI.


Or, I could be dreaming too much.

Allow partial word matches where jane matches jane or janet but "jane" would be full word and only match jane.
