Does anyone know if there are certain electrolytic capacitors on a Barco BG808 which are prone to failure over time? I have 16000 Hrs on mine .

I have no experience on the Barco, but I would look for high voltage high capacitance 85-degree capacitors in the supplies. All 85-degree capacitors of some size age significantly. If you have access to a LCR-meter, you could measure them without desoldering them. If they are old they should show a significantly lower capacitance than they are rated at. Typically 220u/200V or such...
