I need some help with my BG800. After the unit has been on a while, assume it is heat related, the picture darkens and becomes bigger. This last a few seconds and then the picture returns to normal. It does it on all inputs. I've re-installed all the boards and it still has the problems . Any ideas?

Thanks

This is a bad HV board, quadrupler or HV splitter. I would suspect the HV module.

I have stock, or can repair yours.

Give me a shout at:

Thanks!

Old post but maybe someone else will answer.... when Curt means the "HV board" what exactly does he mean? (I've seen this mentioned a few times now but there's not HV board in the service manual).

Does he mean the EHT module? (Right next to the Quadrupler which is the black box at the very back right end of a BG800).

Yes, HV module = EHT.

EHT= Extra High Tension or something like that.
