bi-polar rears

975 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  tooskinny
I have a set of Onkyo rears that came with the HTIB I purchased. I have already upgraded the fronts and sub. The rears are about six inches behind the couch and about three feet on the wall . That is really the only option that I have to mount the rears. I have a pair of Mirage bipolar speakers for another system. Since the rears are mounted so close to the my seating area would it sound better if I used the bipolars instead of the direct speakers?

yes...it would be a more diffuse sound and it wouldnt cause as much attention to the speakers themselves.

ps...It would be even better if you used bipole surround speakers from the same series and company as your front and center channels.

Take care,

Thanks for your advice. I think I will try the ones I have to see if that is the route I want to take.
