bipolares ?

i'm thinking about getting some bipole speakers to use as my surrounds in a 5.1 set up. i have read most all the posts about bipoles but still kind of confused as is this the way to go.i mainly listen to movies and tv,no music.one of the mounting positions has a wall about 6' from my monopole and the other there is no wall opens to the kitchen.any ideas will be helpfull,also not sure how to mount the bipoles ,even with seating position or a little behind it. thanks for any help.
