I'm planning on buying two 12" db-500 subwoofers from tcsounds and Iwas wondering about which amp I should purchase. The Buttkicker BKA1000-4A caught my eye because I can get it for $260, and for two subs at 2 ohms, it can put out a thousand watts to each one. However, I was wondering if this was a good choice or not, since it has been mentioned to me that this was built specifically for Buttkicker products.


I've heard people say that they run their subs off of it, and it sounds wonderful, but I was hoping to get a little more input from people here on whether or not it would be a wise purchase.

I have three of them powering 6 LFE's. I will try hooking up my sub and let you know. I am not familiar with that sub...is it passive? The bk amps do not have "sub out" jacks if i remember correctly.

Yes, they work great. There are numerous enthusiasts using them with subs, including me.
