Black and white?

When I hook up my Sony DVD player through my Denon 3801 receiver via svideo and then send the svideo output of the receiver to my DVDO, my ECP4101 displays it in black and white. If I hook the DVD up to the DVDO directly, it works fine. What's up with that? It happened when I first hooked up my system, and then went away after I started fiddling with stuff. However, I don't know exactly what I did. I unhooked everything a couple days ago, and now it's happening again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any ideas guys? It happened when I first hooked everything up, then later on I fiddled with it and got it to work, but I can't for the life of me remember or figure out what I did or what could be causing this.

Nate -

Sounds like a problem is with your s-video cable out of your receiver, or a loose connection at one of your s-video input/outputs . The S-video carries Chroma and Luminance seperately so if your cable is not seated properly or if you have a bad cable you could quite easily end up with a black and white picture. The chroma signal is not being picked up. Check your connections and/or try a different cable. Hope that helps - Joe
