Hi guys,


I have a Sharp 32" LC32D62U TV.


I rented Chocobo's Dungeon and Resident Evil 4 earlier today, and the first thing I noticed with Chocobo's is that I was getting black bars on the sides of the image, so I switched it out for RE4 thinking maybe it was just the game, but I get the same problem.


So I popped in yet another game, one I actually own, Smash Bros. Brawl to see if I was going insane or not, and sure enough, it works perfectly.


I've tried tinkering with the Widescreen and 480P setting in the Wii options numerous times and it's gotten me nowhere.


I have no idea how to fix this problem, can anyone help?

Some games are like that. Nothing you can do about it.

Very true. Some (mostly the most recent) titles support 16x9 properly. In fact, every Nintendo release for Wii I have seen/played did 16x9 properly.


Others - generally older 3rd party titles & many GC discs - don't fill the entire screen, hence pillarbox bars of varying sizes.
