Black level Calibration problems
How do you guys calibrate your black level?
DVE has a variety of plunge patterns but it seems if I calibrate for one with an IRE 100 window in the center the black levels become too bright with a similar plunge pattern, except with an IRE 20 window in the center. If I calibrate for the IRE 20 pattern then the two non-BTB vertical bars are not visible in the plunge pattern displaying an IRE 100 window in the center. Perhaps DVE does not have the proper test patterns for CRTs?
