When I start up Windows Media Center and select any channel I get a black screen with the channel's audio and the closed captions I have on show.

If I close windows media center and then restart it I can get the video. Possible the video drivers are not loading on the first start.

Could this be an EDID problem, a resolution problem or something else?

I am running 7MC 32bit. I have a monitor on DVI and a Panasoic Plasma in extended mode on HDMI connected to a Radeon 4670. I am running Catalyst 11.7 with a fresh install following a complete ATI driver uninstall.

The properties (Digital Flat-Panel)

Display Name: Panasonic-TV (I have a Panasonic TH-58PZ700U)

Maximum reported resolution: 1920x1080

Maximum reported refresh rate: 60 HZ

Enable ITC processing checked

The OTA TV signal is coming from a HDHomerun.

I have installed the LAV splitter.

Also the handshake problem continues when starting the plasma and getting the extended desktop and audio.
