I think you mean either HC DA MATE witch I owe one and compered to a sample from Stwart no diference at all. Ive seen the black star at Cidia, not impressed at all but there is a graet new technology for screen developed in Japan it calls Lumenstar it has 500.1 contrast ratio. I posted on screen and lcd/dlpprojectors a post.

It is impossible for a screen to have a contrast ratio. Whoever wrote the web page copy on the Lumenstar screen is quite confused. Or, possibly I am?

LOL, James!

Yeah contrast ratios on screens are kind of dodgy... It would be much better if they gave some sort of methodology. Myself, I speculate they used the "pulled it out of my a$$ experimental method."

Welllll, as Jack Benney used to say ( who here is old enough to remember him?) - what about this black screen business - has anyone seen it - from what I read the VUTEC is only for RPTV. What about FPTV, is Grayhack the only solution?

Vutec's black screen has been shown in a front projection configuration. I actually haven't seen it in an RP configuration yet.

blackhack... greyhack. :D Was that a typo, or have you had some bad experiences with the Blackhawk and/or Greyhawk?

Jason,

A few weeks ago you told me about the new Vutec Gray Dove screen. Is it available now. Do you have and comparative info/data vs. the Da-lite HC or the Greyhawk? For example:

- what is the gain

- any comparative screenshots

Thanks
