So I pick up my 880 yesterday and the LCD screen was blank. Well, there is a whitish line right across the top. I have tried removing the battery, reloading the software, placing it on the charger, etc.


Nothing. Just a backlit blank screen.


The remote still works perfectly if you have all the LCD screens memorized.


Any ideas?

Give Harmony customer support a call, but yes it is probably broken.

With a mobile 7 month old son who loves to try eat the remote, I am sure it just got dropped a couple times too many.


Man, now do I get a replacement 880, or a 550/360 at half the price?

Well, I called customer support. Sounds like they will RMA it even though I am 3 months out of warranty.


They better say the same thing when I can call them back with remote in hand.

Out of warranty and they are still sending me a replacement in 5-7 days.


They said the new remote will have no warranty however.
