Before the HD-DVD fanboys mention it, http://www.eproductwars.com/dvd/ has shown a drop in sales for Blu-ray?

I think at christmas time ther was a blu-ray spike for new PS3 owners. The spike is over and things are back to normal. You can take solice in the fact that crank is pretty high on the list though. There hasn't been much released HD-DVD wise in the past month I have been interested in.

I think this is what you are going to see in the new "stalemate" portion of the dvd wars.
On weeks where HD has better releases than Blu Ray, Hd dvd will win.
On weeks where BR has better releases than HD DVD , Blu Ray will win.
We will see this over the next couple of weeks if my hunch is right.

As long as BD has the top title, it's still possible for BD to outsell HD DVD even with a lower ranking. Of course if one format has the top 4, it would be easy to infer that it were selling better as well. Right now, one can't say. But, it does show that BD isn't pulling away and that sales isn't doubling every week. Atleast not on AMZN.

Real stats. Actual percentages, not rankings with no clear methodology.
On Amazon.com, at this point the relative position seems to be controlled by 2-3 top titles. And at the height of the frenzy to get Crank, with it at #76, Amazon.com had it out of stock for most of a day.
With Superman Returns climbing like a bullet, it went out of stock (still was last I checked) and it fell from a 200s ranking to 1000s.
Guess what, people went elsewhere. I expect Amazon wasn't fully prepared for the massive sales blip.

The Amazon numbers bounce around more then a basketball. It is strange how they have such huge influctions throughout the day.
But hey, BD is solidly ahead at both DVDEmpire (The HD Wars) and also at Bestbuy. Honestly it is very difficult to get a hold on "true" sales numbers through all of this. The only numbers I trust 100% is the Bestbuy GM I spoke with on Sunday who said Blu-ray software has consistenly been outselling HD-DVD software by a 3 to 1 margin since December. He also mentioned that Blu-ray software sales improve by around 15% week over week.
Once Amazon has up some of the big Pre-Orders listed for Blu-ray:

Dodgeball
Rocky Balboa

Who do you think will be winning the Amazon numbers then? It is proven that once Amazon puts up for Order/Pre-Order a popular exclusive movie (I.E. - Crank) it pushed the sales lead to Blu-ray. Right now Amazon really has none of the Blu-ray heavy hitters listed for pre-order. Once that happens it should be total dominance for Blu-ray. A big chunk of these movie start comming out in Mid-March, so I would expect the pre-orders will be up by early February. Once this happens everything will fall in to place again.
Many of the Pre-Orders for March are already up at DVDEmpire and you can see how it has effected the sales over there. Blu-ray has a comfortable lead.

There's not enough of an established base yet for that to be true. A lot of the top 10 are still older titles. Batman Begins has been one of HD DVDs top sellers since it came out, and that was months ago. I suspect the same will be true when it eventually comes out on BD.

It would be fair play if BD had releases like The Mummy and Batman Begins! These are the main titles that are keeping the HD-DVD sales rank high over the last couple of days.
