It occurs to me that low-priced Blu-ray players with only HDMI (i.e., no analog A/V outputs) would be a decent way to save money. Most machines are probably going to be connected to displays via HDMI, and the analog circuitry and connectors must surely be something that is not decreasing in price as quickly as other components.


1. Does anyone know if this is consistent with the BDA license?

2. Will we see such machines?

What do you think?

Yes Im sure this will be a thing of the future. Still always handy to have even one simple analog RCA even just for testing stuff
