Well.. I took the Samsung Blu-ray player plunge today. I was debating which HD format I was going to go with, and I have to admit it. The fact that all of the Disney Movies would be in the Blu-ray format played a huge part in my decision. I have a CRT NEC projector, and the kids will be watching a lot of movies with me. Also, I look at the movie studios that are backing this format, and it was pretty impressive.
I think that I liked the overall HD DVD picture quality better, and they definitely had a good share of movie titles, but I saw many of them in the Blu-ray aisle as well. So I decided to go with Blu-ray and just get Reg. DVD's for those titles that won't be in the Blu-ray format.
I don't know..., I hope that I made the right decision. I tried a couple of times to buy a HD DVD player, and I just couldn't get my wallet out of my pocket. The Blu-ray player was more expensive, but the bills slid out of my wallet very easily!
Total Cost $471.88
