blue blocks

Hello, I've got a PJTX100 which started to develop a blue haze on the left side of the screen.

Even though I can get rid of some of this with these adjustments in the color unification menu, it seems too messed up for this alone to fix it.

This has gotten a lot worse after I changed the bulb recently.

Is something maybe mis-aligned?

Is there anything I can do to help this?

Thanks

It sounds like you've gone through a lamp cycle, so probably at least 1500 to 2000 hours. Have you been cleaning your filter regularly? It's possible that your blue polarizer is going, a common LCD problem. This is likely if you don't clean your filter often, or constantly run on high lamp mode. I think the average repair cost is in the $200 - $250 range based on what I've read ( I've never had to replace one myself ).

There are a bunch of threads on cleaning / replacing polarizers. They may help if the projector is out of warranty, and you're up to the challenge.

Some have reported that the problem goes away if you un-plug the projector overnight, although this makes no sense to me.
