If anyone out in XA2 land is into documentaries, give the "Blue Planet: Seas of Life" DVD series a try. Narrated by David Attenborough, the upconverted quality is amazing on this series, hard to tell not HD DVD. The series is also excellent. Going back to it now.

Great series but this definetely needs to be released on HD DVD. I have the full series and have watched it on my Denon 3910 which upconverts to 1080i. It's good, but far from great.

How much worse will this look on other upconverting players, such as the A2, Panasonic BD, Pioneer 59Avi? Can you do some comparisons for us please. It would be nice to quantitate how much better the XA2 upconverts than all the others.
